Everton will have to pay up to land Andre Gomes.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo insist only a ‘good offer’ will see them sell Andre Gomes this summer.
Gomes is on loan at Everton and enjoying his football after a nightmare spell at Barcelona.
Barcelona are willing to sell Gomes, at a price they deem acceptable to them.
Everton are frontrunners, but Barcelona are not committed to selling to them.
Mundo Deportivo state simply that Gomes is ‘on the market’, in theory allowing other teams to steal in.

The report also claims that Everton sporting director Marcel Brands was due to fly in to Barcelona for discussions over Gomes a few weeks ago.
The meeting did not go ahead, with the reason for that currently undisclosed.
Mystery meeting aside, the task for Everton seems clear. Find out Barcelona’s asking price, and decide whether to pay it or not.
If common ground can be reached, Everton will get their man.
