Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a move for Yeferson Soteldo.
According to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer €18million (£15.8million) for Huachipato playmaker Yeferson Soteldo amid rival interest from Real Madrid.
Soteldo, 20, was featuring for Zamora in his native Venezuela before his 21 goals in 84 games earned him a move to Huachipato of Chile in January of this year.

Primarily a winger, Soteldo stands at just 5ft 3in tall, and he has caught the eye with his pace and dribbling ability – particularly at the Under-20 World Cup earlier this summer.
Soteldo featured for Venezuela as they reached the final of the competition, only to lose out to England, and speculation now surrounds Soteldo’s future with Huachipato already.
Spanish newspaper Don Balon claim that Tottenham are ready to offer £15.8million for Soteldo, whilst Real Madrid, Atalanta and Watford are also interested in signing him.
First things first; Tottenham rarely splash the cash, and spending almost £16million on a 20-year-old with little experience outside of Venezuela doesn’t seem like something Daniel Levy would approve of.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Additionally, Soteldo’s stature could be a problem in the rough and tumble of the Premier League, though he could view Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser, who stands an inch taller at 5ft 4in, as a case of how he could feature in England.
Yet, with so few players immediately able to make the grade in England after arriving from South America – see Juan Pablo Angel, Jonathan Calleri and Diego Forlan as notable examples – Soteldo would face a major adjustment in England, and whilst Don Balon’s report may well be true, it would be a huge shock to see Mauricio Pochettino and Spurs invest so much money in somebody so unproven, even after his impressive displays at the Under-20 World Cup.
