Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid ahead of a potential summer switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, news that will be greeted with delight in north London.
Los Blancos are reportedly keen on freshening up their attacking options this summer, and have been linked with some of Europe’s best strikers.
The Sun claimed earlier this year that Madrid were willing to pay up to £200 million to bring Tottenham’s Harry Kane to the club.
Mundo Deportivo have reported news that will be music to Spurs fans’ ears this morning, though.
They claim that the Spanish giants have agreed personal terms with Lewandowski.
If the report is in fact true, there is no way Madrid would sign both the Poland international and Kane…cue collective sighs of relief in N17.
The Lilywhites will of course have their work cut-out, if they hope to keep Kane over the course of the next few years, and if they fail to match his ambition by winning a trophy, it will surely only be a matter of time before he leaves for pastures new.
