Spanish press predicts Davinson Sanchez will start in Tottenham midfield

Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid will face each other in the Champions League this evening.

According to Marca, Davinson Sanchez will be deployed in Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield against Real Madrid this evening.

Tottenham will take on Madrid away from home at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League in a few hours’ time.

Sanchez is a centre-back by trade and joined Tottenham only in the summer transfer window, but Marca has predicted that the 21-year-old will play in midfield.

It has been predicted by the Spanish sports paper that the Colombia international will be deployed in central midfield alongside Eric Dier.

It remains to be seen if Sanchez is indeed deployed as a midfielder, and it will be interesting if that is the case.

The former Ajax star has played well for Tottenham so far this season, but the youngster will face the biggest test of the season so far against Madrid.

However, by playing Sanchez in central midfield, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino will be throwing Madrid a curve ball and could unsettle Zinedine Zidane’s gameplan.
