Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Real Madrid ace.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have tabled a mammoth €180 million (£158.3 million) offer for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, and the Spaniards are undecided whether to accept or reject the bid.
The 22-year-old joined Madrid from Mallorca in 2014, and he has gone on to establish himself as one of Europe’s hottest young prospects.
Asensio has chalked up 21 goals and 10 assists in 91 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos – a decent return considering that most of those outings have come from the substitutes bench.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Jürgen Klopp is a huge fan of the Real Madrid forward, and is desperate to bring him to Anfield this summer, so much so that the Reds have submitted a £158.3 million offer to the La Liga giants for his services.

Good signing for Liverpool?
The simple answer to that question is yes.
Asensio can play anywhere along the front-line, and he would provide excellent competition for the Reds’ famous front three.
He possesses blistering pace, is a cool and composed customer in front of goal, and he plays with a certain type of maturity that defies his tender years.

The Spaniard would also be well capable of playing for a club with Liverpool’s size and stature, having spent four years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
If Madrid do accept Liverpool’s reported offer, and Asensio moves to Merseyside, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Reds.
