Middlesbrough’s interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Jese could be hitting a brick wall.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Paris Saint-Germain winger Jese Rodriguez isn’t keen on a move to Middlesbrough during this month’s transfer window.
Jese, 23, came up through the ranks with Real Madrid having arrived from Huracan in 2007, aged just 14 – and he became a real star for the Real Madrid B team.

The Spaniard hit 32 goals in 80 games for the Castilla side, before being handed his first-team debut in December 2011, but he struggled to make himself a first-team regular in a side containing the likes of Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Jese left Real Madrid over the summer after scoring 18 goals in 96 games for the club, and was snapped up by French giants Paris Saint-Germain – but his time at the Parc des Princes has been miserable so far, as he’s started just two games in all competitions, and played just 17 minutes of Champions League action.

A January exit has been suggested, but Spanish newspaper AS report that the winger isn’t interested in reuniting with Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka, who was Real Madrid assistant during part of Jese’s time with the club.
Boro are desperate for attacking reinforcements, and whilst Karanka has landed Patrick Bamford and Rudy Gestede from Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively, Jese would bring goals and creativity to relegation-threatened Boro.
However, it’s claimed that Jese – who predominantly plays on the left wing – doesn’t want a move to Middlesbrough, as he wants to quickly get back to his best, and thinks adjusting to English football will take too long.
Jese’s hometown club Las Palmas are allegedly keen, but can’t afford to sign him, so it’s unclear just where the winger will be heading before Tuesday’s transfer deadline – if anywhere, as with just days of the transfer window left to go, he’s running out of time to leave PSG on loan.
