Tottenham may be about to miss out on Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco
Atletico Madrid are hopeful an agreement to sign Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco is imminent, report Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
Their article states the deal is in the final stages after negotiations, which have taken place over the past 48 hours.
Ferreira-Carrasco has interested Tottenham Hotspur, as reported by French website MaxiFoot.
The Belgian international winger is valued by Monaco at £18 million, as reported by Talksport, but Atletico are hopeful of getting him for less.
The details
The deal currently on the table from Atletico Madrid, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, states the Spanish side have offered £10.8 million for the winger, but also offered Monaco a 25 per cent sell on clause.
Monaco are insisting on a higher fee, and negotiations are continuing. The paper claims there is a willingness on the side of both clubs to conclude a deal.
Atletico are looking at the winger to replace Arda Turan, who they sold to La Liga champions Barcelona this week for £24 million.
They also have money from Spurs themselves, who this week paid them £12 million to sign Toby Alderweireld.
