Barcelona are reportedly set to raid Liverpool for Alberto Moreno.

According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, Barcelona are closing in on the signing of Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno on a two-year deal.
Moreno was touted as one of Spanish football’s top young talents when Liverpool snapped him up from Sevilla in the summer of 2014, with many predicting a great career for the left back.
However, Moreno hasn’t progressed defensively, and whilst he has shown ability and pace going forward, those deficiencies at the back have resulted in him being replaced at Anfield.
Andrew Robertson has made the left back spot his own, and Moreno has played just five games this season, with only two appearances in the Premier League.
Moreno’s £65,000-a-week (Spotrac) contract expires this summer, with Liverpool not interested in renewing his deal and Moreno similarly eager to cut ties, but his next destination may stun some fans.
SPORT report on their front page today that Moreno is set to sign a two-year deal with Barcelona, forming one of their top three targets right now alongside Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jovic.

Moreno’s free transfer move to the Camp Nou will see him offer competition for Jordi Alba whilst Marc Cucurella develops, whilst handing him a return to Spain.
Liverpool fans wouldn’t have expected to see Moreno in a Barcelona shirt after his torrid time at Anfield, but it now seems that it may well happen in a shock summer move.
