Spanish media claim Aston Villa may already have agreement with Nemanja Radoja

Aston Villa are being linked with a move for Nemanja Radoja.

According to reports from El Desmarque and La Voz De Galicia, Aston Villa appear to be closing in on Celta Vigo midfielder Nemanja Radoja.

Radoja, 25, has impressed for the Galician club since signing from Vojvodina in 2014, racking up almost 150 appearances.

However, he is out of contract at the end of the season and is being frozen out as a result, with a 2019 exit on the cards.

Now, newspaper La Voz De Galicia report that Radoja may already have an agreement with Aston Villa, whilst El Desmarque note that he has said yes to joining Villa.

Villa could push to sign Radoja in January, but it may seem more likely that a pre-contract agreement is in place for him to sign in the summer.

Villa’s director of football is Spaniard Jesus Garcia Pitarch, and with ex-Celta man Juanfran now a scout under him, Radoja is on the radar.

A Serbian international with two caps to his name, Radoja is a smart defensive midfielder with a great passing range, and could bring something different to the base of the Villa midfield.

Stronger links to Radoja do come just as Levante’s Cheick Doukoure emerges as a Villa target, and it would be a surprise to see Villa sign both La Liga men, unless Doukoure signs on loan and then Radoja arrives in the summer.
