Newcastle United and Everton’s reported quest to sign Donny van de Beek this summer has just become harder due to Real Madrid.

Everton and Newcastle United interest

According to a recent report in Le10 Sport, Everton and Newcastle are interested in signing Van de Beek from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old is one of the best young midfielders in Europe, and his performances for Ajax in Europe in recent years have been very noteworthy indeed.

The Netherlands international is a regular for Ajax, and he is ready to take the next step in his career, and move to a bigger club and a more competitive domestic league.

Real Madrid make move

Everton and Newcastle’s reported interest in Van de Beek does not come as a surprise, but, according to Todofichajes, Madrid are keen on him as well.

It has been reported that the Spanish and European giants have made an offer of €45 million (£40.16 million) to Ajax.

Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane himself has made a phone call to Van de Beek, who is willing to switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to the report.

Future

With Madrid reportedly so keen on Van de Beek, it is hard to see the Dutchman turn down arguably the biggest club in the world for a move to Everton or Newcastle this summer.
