The England striker has been linked with an unlikely move to the La Liga giants in recent days.

Leicester City fans have reacted online to rumours that La Liga giants Atletico Madrid could make a £20 million move for striker Jamie Vardy this summer.
The Daily Mail has reported that Atleti boss Diego Simeone could launch a bid after the 31-year-old impressed him during the two sides’ Champions League meeting last season.

Atletico are looking for a replacement for Antoine Griezmann, who is set to make a switch to Barcelona, and Simeone has reportedly identified the 20-goal Premier League winner as one of his targets.
Foxes fans have been busy on Twitter reacting to the rumours, and many have hit out at Vardy’s seemingly low price-tag:
Vardy swapping the King Power Stadium for the Wanda Metropolitano may initially seem far fetched, but it could prove to be a well-matched move if Simeone does test Claude Puel’s reserve with a bid.
Atletico are known for their fast-paced, counter-attacking brand of football, and with his searing pace and clinical finishing, Vardy could slot into Atletico’s starting XI perfectly and form a scary striking partnership with Diego Costa.

Granted, the reported £20 million fee is low for a striker of Vardy’s pedigree, but if Atletico do truly want to secure his services then Leicester can expect a much larger follow-up bid.
