Where would Liverpool be in the Premier League if only Mohamed Salah’s goals and assists counted?

Mohamed Salah has been nothing short of sensational in his first season at Liverpool.
The Egyptian has struck a record-equalling 31 goals in the Premier League, and his fine form in front of goal recently saw him claim the PFA and FWA Player of the Year awards.

Salah, who joined Jurgen Klopp’s men from AS Roma last summer, has also chipped in with 10 assists this term – and his influence on Liverpool has been made clearer than ever, thanks to football writer Andrew Beasley.
In the wake of Salah’s FWA triumph on Monday, Liverpool fan Andrew tweeted a table to show how the Reds would be faring in the Premier League if only goals scored or assisted by Salah counted – and it makes for grim reading for Everton fans.
Salah’s contributions alone would incredibly see Liverpool sat in seventh on 53 points and with a goal difference of +4 – four places below their current position, but enough to secure European football.
But, perhaps most importantly for Liverpool fans, ‘Salah FC’ would still be five points clear of bitter rivals Everton, who are currently eighth, on 48 points.

And, of course, the Premier League’s top scorer could increase his tally even further by netting in Liverpool’s final two fixtures against Chelsea and Brighton.
Liverpool’s front three of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have undoubtedly lit up the Premier League this season, but this stat certainly shows that the former FC Basel winger has been the star of the show at Anfield.
