Leeds United should look to utilise the loan market for two wingers this summer, with Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi and Liverpool’s Harry Wilson ideal candidates.
Leeds United should look to cap off a very successful summer by exploring the option of taking Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi or Liverpool’s Harry Wilson on loan.
Uwe Rosler has added Tom Adeyemi, Sol Bamba, Lee Erwin, Ross Turnbull and Chris Wood to his Leeds side this summer, but still plans to add at least one more winger to the squad before the season starts, according to the Yorkshire Post.
We take a look at two wingers Rosler could sign on loan for Leeds that have the ability to play a key role in their Championship campaign next season.
Alex Iwobi – Arsenal
The versatile attacking midfielder, who can play on either side and through the middle, played a huge part in Arsenal under-21s promotion push last season and netted 10 goals in 19 appearances.
He captained the side in the last two months of the U21 Premier League campaign and scored four goals in his final six games of the competition.
Now aged 19, Leeds could offer him the perfect chance to flourish at Championship level.
Harry Wilson – Liverpool
Wilson, who turned 18 in March, was shortlisted for the Barclays Under-21 Premier League Player of the Year award last season, as reported on the Premier League official site, and now should be eager to get experience at first-team level.
In 2013, he made headlines by becoming Wales’ youngest ever player, coming on as a second half substitute against Belgium, aged just 16 years and 207 days.
Should Jordon Ibe produce what is expected of him this pre-season, then Wilson could be made available for a loan move.
As he is a left-sided winger with a lot of pace, he could just be what Rosler is looking to add this summer.
