The legendary Italian goalkeeper has announced he is to leave Juventus – and Liverpool fans want Jurgen Klopp to make a move.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to rumours that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp could make a sensational move for Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon.
The 40-year-old announced he is to leave the Italian giants after 17 seasons earlier today, but did not confirm he is to retire as expected – and Liverpool could be set to pounce, according to The Mirror.

Liverpool are rumoured to be in the market for competition for first-choice stopper Loris Karius, with reserve ‘keeper Simon Mignolet reportedly growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team action.
Mignolet has been linked with a move to Klopp’s former side, Borussia Dortmund, and it seems as though the majority of Reds fans would welcome World Cup winner Buffon as his replacement.
While Karius – who has improved drastically this term – would undoubtedly benefit from having a goalkeeping colleague as experienced and talented as Buffon, bringing the evergreen ‘keeper in would be a big risk for Klopp.

He would surely command a hefty wage and would be likely to be at Anfield for the maximum of one season – not ideal for Liverpool, who are a club that focus on stability and investing in players for the future.
With this in mind, it would be far more sensible for Klopp to target a younger goalkeeper, or even hand third-choice stopper, Danny Ward, an opportunity.
