Ipswich Town chase Leeds United midfield general, Nottingham Forest target WBA star, Plymouth sign Sheffield Wednesday Keeper, Cardiff City defender signs with Wednesday and Kyle Lafferty attracts Championship interest.
The former Derby County midfielder has found first team football hard to come by this season and could be open to a loan move, especially to a side that currently resides above his employer.
Leeds United are well stacked in central midfield, despite many fans querying the quality in there.
Manager Billy Davies spoke straight after their FA Cup match with Preston about the need to dip into the loan market and it looks likely that Chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi could grant his wishes for one of the more experienced players reportedly available in the next few weeks.
3) Plymouth Argyle have signed young Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Cameron Dawson on loan until the rest of the season, according to reports in The Sheffield Star. It’s a good chance for the promising keeper to get a better taste of first team football, however, he will initially act as cover to Jake Cole.
4) Sheffield Wednesday will sign Cardiff City defender Adedeji Oshilaja on loan until March 12, according to reports from Sky Sports News. The 20-year-old has spent the early part of the season on loan at League Two side Newport and could go straight into the team against Reading later today.
The 26-year-old striker has endured a mixed-bag career, after being tipped for stardom in his early Burnley days. In 2008, despite Premier League interest he signed for Scottish Premier League side Rangers for a fee around £3m + add-ons. He enjoyed a steady career in Scotland before financial implications meant he had to move on, which he did, signing for Swiss Super League side FC Sion and now he plays in Serie B for Palermo.
A host of scouts are thought to have watched Lafferty in Monday’s top-of-the-table clash with Empoli, in which the Northern Ireland international scored in a 1-1 draw.
