Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Harry Cochrane from Heart of Midlothian.

Leeds United have been linked with Harry Cochrane. According to a report in The Scottish Sun earlier this month, Leeds are interested in signing the 16-year-old midfielder from Heart of Midlothian.
It has been reported that Leeds’s director of football, Victor Orta, is keen on doing a deal now for the 16-year-old midfielder, with the Championship club to pay around £500,000 plus extras in order to secure the services of the teen sensation.

As subsequently reported on HITC Sport, not many Leeds fans have welcomed the speculation, with some suggesting that the Whites should be looking to sign players who could make an instant impact in the first team (click here to read more).
While one can understand Leeds fans’ misgivings about Cochrane, the following comments from Hearts star John Souttar should allay their worries.
The 21-year-old Scotland Under-21 international, who can operate as a central defender or as a central midfielder, spoke highly of Cochrane to The Daily Record in October 2017.

Souttar told The Daily Record about Cochrane (October 23, 2017): “I don’t know what he’s like in the dressing room because he’s still upstairs with the young lads. But in training and games he is terrific, an unbelievable player on the ball.
“For a 16-year-old he has come into the side and nothing fazes him. Everybody can see that he’s not scared to put a foot in either. He can do the dirty side of the game.
“I think he can go wherever he wants to go. He’s that good. You don’t want to big him up too much but he’s not the type of lad who will get carried away.”
