Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting to the news that Liam Cooper has been called up to the Scotland squad.
The Leeds captain has been brilliant this season and is very much deserving of his place at this summer’s European Championships.
As you can imagine, Leeds fans were buzzing for their player who has been with them since their days as a mid-table Championship club, and now he’s going to get the chance to represent his country at the top level.
One fan quipped that Gareth Southgate must be worried after this announcement, alluding to the fact that Cooper is likely to play against England this summer after Scotland were drawn into the same group as the Three Lions.
United supporters were certainly pleased to see their team being represented on the European stage, and we can only hope that Cooper and Scotland make a good account of themselves this summer.
