Fraser Forster in action for Celtic
Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster has told The Scottish Herald that he will always want to return to Celtic Park after a superb spell with Celtic.
Forster is in the England squad to take on Scotland this weekend, with the Three Lions travelling to Hampden Park in search of a crucial win in their attempts to reach the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The 29-year-old is one of four goalkeepers in Gareth Southgate’s squad, alongside Joe Hart, Jack Butland and Tom Heaton, with England looking to match their 3-0 win over Scotland in November.
Forster is the only player in the England squad to have played club football in Scotland at some stage in his career, meaning he may well have some first-hand knowledge of members of Gordon Strachan’s squad.
Forster joined Celtic on loan from Newcastle United in the summer of 2010, and spent two years with the club before penning a permanent deal with the Bhoys after impressing in Glasgow.

Another two years with the Bhoys earned Forster huge recognition and eventually a move to Southampton, where he has excelled in the Premier League and earned six England caps.
Ahead of his return to Scotland this weekend, Forster has told The Scottish Herald that he loved every minute of his time with Celtic, calling them ‘a very special club’ with ‘amazing fans.

Forster added that he will always want to go back to Celtic Park after some memorable European nights there, potentially opening himself up to rejoining the Bhoys in the future.
“I can’t express how much I loved my time at Celtic,” said Forster. “The people I met, the people I got to work with, and the journey we went on together – I loved every minute of being at that club. The fans are amazing and it is just a very special club.”
“When I look back at the start of my time in Glasgow, it was really my second full season as a footballer. I had a year at Norwich before I went to Celtic. From the first minute I walked through the door to where the club was when I left, we just went on such a big journey. As a group we all moved forward together and had some great nights in the Champions League. It is a place I will always want to go back to,” he added.
