Southampton have reacted on Twitter to Tottenham Hotspur winning against West Bromwich Albion today.

Tottenham have got the better of West Brom 1-0 away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.

England international striker Harry Kane scored the only goal of the match in the 88th minute.

The result means that Spurs have gone to the top of the league table with 17 points from 16 matches.

The North London club have displaced Southampton at the top of the standings, with the Saints slipping down to second on 16 points.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side won 2-0 against Newcastle United at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Friday evening.

The result saw the Saints go to the top of the Premier League table for the first time ever, as reported by BBC Sport.

Going strong

Southampton may not be top anymore, but there is no doubt that they are having a wonderful season.

The Saints are playing good football and are winning matches, and perhaps they could turn out to be the surprise package in the race for the Champions League places.
