Southampton are reportedly interested in signing Aberdeen attacker Bojan Miovski, who has enjoyed a breakout season in Scotland having just moved from MTK Budapest last summer.

According to the Scottish Sun, the Saints are keeping tabs on the North Macedonia international having scored 17 goals in all competitions for the Dons, with Miovski one of the best attackers across Scotland and England this season.

Lauded as ‘flawless’ by Scottish Football Analysis, Miovski has been nothing short of a sensation for Aberdeen since arriving from Hungary. And now, Southampton are interested in the 23-year-old striker as the Saints make plans for the summer transfer window.

With Ruben Selles’ side sat bottom of the table, though, there’s a good chance that Southampton could be relegated from the Premier League this season, which could make signing the likes of Miovski a huge issue if they were to drop down into the Championship.

Indeed, Miovski’s record for Aberdeen this season is bound to attract more interest than just Southampton as the Scottish season winds down, and for the Saints, the Dons marksman could be ideal for the south coast side if Selles can guide his team to safety.

17 goals in a debut year in the Scottish Premiership is quite the feat for any player, and for Miovski, this form could win the North Macedonia star a major move to the Premier League this summer, where Southampton will now be hoping to land the Aberdeen sensation.

Southampton are no strangers to finding gems from Scotland, with Virgil van Dijk the obvious example. Yet Miovski could be another success story if the Saints can remain in the Premier League for next season and find the finances to attract some key targets.

With 17 goals already this season, Miovski would be a perfect attacker to add to Southampton’s ranks, especially with the futures of Che Adams and Theo Walcott up in the air, with more forwards expected to leave regardless of what happens this season.
