FC Lorient star Terem Moffi has been subject to a seventh bid from OGC Nice as the French club look to sign the Nigerian international, with Southampton and West Ham also interested in the striker.

According to Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 side have made an astonishing seventh offer to sign Moffi, with Lorient demanding €30m (£25m) for their star striker despite numerous bids at this stage from Nice, with Southampton and West Ham also believed to have made bids for the attacker.

As per the report, though, Nice’s latest bid is expected to be accepted by Lorient, with the French Riviera club set to beat the Saints and the Irons to Moffi’s signature in what has been a month-long process for Les Aiglons, though the hard work and dedication could all be worth it.

Moffi has been one of the best attackers in Ligue 1 this season with 12 goals in 18 matches, and Nice now look set to land the Nigerian star in the final days of the January transfer window in what will be a major blow to the likes of Southampton and West Ham.

Indeed, whilst both Premier League sides have signed attackers this month, Moffi brings youth and excitement that Southampton and West Ham could have done with as the English duo prepare to fight themselves out of the relegation zone.

However, with Nice pushing as hard as they have been to sign Moffi, it makes sense why the striker will be ending up at the French club rather than Southampton or West Ham, with the Ligue 1 side making themselves heard that they want to bring the 25-year-old to the Allianz Riviera this January.

Ligue 1 players are no strangers to making the leap to the Premier League, with some of the division’s best players hailing from France, yet whilst Moffi wouldn’t be anywhere near this category, the likes of Southampton and West Ham will be fuming they missed out on the Lorient star to Nice.

After all, the Premier League duo have the financial capacity to match whatever Nice were preparing to offer to sign Moffi, yet with the English clubs looking at new targets, the Ligue 1 side were always going to be favourites to land the forward this January.
