“I think it was a step up. We didn’t win for a couple of games and now we got it. A clean sheet and a 1-0 is always the sign of a good team. It was not only after Europa League but after the Premier League games, because we didn’t have a win in three or four games. Although we got a good result against Liverpool, today was good. We got the win and we can all sleep well.”

Claude Puel’s men now face an extremely kind looking run of fixtures in the Premier League, on paper at least, with the average league position of their next four opponents being 13.75.
Mixed in amongst them are crucial games in the EFL Cup quarter-final against Arsenal and their must-win Europa League group stage encounter against Israeli outfit Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
