Both Southampton and Celtic have been credited with interest in the January transfer window.

Southampton are in talks to sign the Celtic-linked right-back Omar Elabdellaoui, according to the Sun.
The newspaper reported earlier this month that Celtic were also chasing Elabdellaoui, who plays for Olympiacos.
But the Bhoys are not mentioned in the Sun‘s latest report, which claims Southampton are ready to pay £4.5 million to sign the Norwegian as a replacement for Cedric Soares.
Soares was recently loaned to Inter Milan by the new Saints boss, Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Celtic have yet to add to their right-back options in the January transfer, despite links to several players in Elabdellaoui’s position.
And it is unlikely that the Bhoys could compete with Southampton or any English Premier League side from a financial perspective.

The Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, has fellow right-backs Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
Elabdellaoui began his professional career at Manchester City and later returned to England’s top flight with Hull.
