Cedric Soares joined Southampton on loan from Inter Milan in the January transfer window.

Soares joined Italian club Inter on loan from Premier League club Southampton in the January transfer window.
According to The Southern Daily Echo, the 27-year-old right-back will be on loan at Inter until the end of the season, with the Serie A outfit having the option to make the move permanent.
Tuttomercatoweb claimed last month that Inter do not plan to sign the Portugal international on a permanent contract in the summer of 2019 (click here to read more).
Soares has given his take on his future, and is quoted as saying by The Southern Daily Echo: “I have not looked at this story of redemption. It is a great honour to be here, Inter gave me confidence and I have it in me.
“I will always give my best on the pitch, then at the end of the season we’ll see the decision: if they keep me, fine, otherwise, life goes on.”

Back to Southampton?
Soares’s current contract with Southampton runs until the summer of 2020, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, and if he is unable to secure a deal with Inter, then he will go back to the Saints.
Southampton, though, may decide to cash in on the right-back – who earns £65,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.
The Saints are fighting for survival in the Premier League at the moment.
