The Saints prodigy helped Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side into the top half of the Premier League table with his solo winner last weekend.

Southampton winger Moussa Djenepo has been named in Whoscored’s Under-21 European Team of Week for his exploits in last weekend’s Premier League 1-0 triumph over Sheffield United.
Initially utilised as a left wing-back in that game, the Saints summer signing struggled at first as he got exposed a few times, but when pushed further up by Ralph Hasenhuttl he truly showed his quality.
Indeed, Djenepo scored the winning goal as he brilliantly weaved through the Blades defence before firing home midway through the second half, helping them go into the top half of the table.
As a result, the 21-year-old won a spot in the XI, on the left wing, alongside the likes of Chelsea trio Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham, plus Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, and a host of European football talents.
Djenepo, who according to The Sun cost the Saints £14million, became Ralph Hasenhuttl’s first signing at St Mary’s Stadium after he penned a four-year deal, and arrived on the back of an impressive season for Belgium’s Standard Liege, scoring 11 goals en route to a third-placed league finish and Europa League qualification.
