After beating Tottenham 3-2 in the Premier League last night, Southampton decided to get a little bit cheeky on Instagram as they celebrated the win.

What’s the story?

Well, Southampton chose to mock Antonio Conte on Instagram – and also on TikTok – after coming from behind to secure a dramatic win in north London.

The Italian was left furious with someone on the Southampton bench during the game, and proceeded to put his finger to his lips to shush them.

Southampton later used that against the Italian, as they constructed a video with circus music showing that incident alongside footage of a miserable Conte stood in the rain at the end of the game.

You can see the video in full below.

It’s not what you’d usually expect from an official club account, but the Saints were clearly too excited about their win to care about that.

You can forgive Southampton, as it’s not often you see a side come from behind in the dying stages against a top six outfit in the Premier League.

Conte will learn a lot about Tottenham squad after Southampton defeat

Make no mistake about it, there is a mentality problem at Tottenham.

To be leading 2-1 going into the final ten minutes, only to be 3-2 down in the 82nd minute, simply isn’t good enough for a side hoping to qualify for the Champions League.

Conte is a serial winner, and he will not stand for such flimsy game management from his side.

Specifically, the likes of Ben Davies and Emerson Royal need to take a look at themselves after the late horrorshow in N17.

After offloading players like Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso in January, we have a feeling Conte is going to wield the axe on a number of other Spurs players this summer.

To be blunt, there are not enough leaders in this side – something needs to change, or Spurs fans can expect to see more collapses like last night.
