Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters is attracting interest from Arsenal and Everton – but the Saints are ready to demand around £40million.
The Saints pounced to sign Walker-Peters in the summer of 2020 after a strong loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur.
Whilst Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joined Tottenham for £15million, Walker-Peters came the other way for £12million having impressed on loan.
The 25-year-old struggled to nail down a regular first-team place at Tottenham but has now become a key player at Southampton.
Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters is attracting interest
Walker-Peters notched one goal and two assists in 32 Premier League outings last season, catapulting himself into the England squad.
As is often the case when a Southampton player impresses, there is now major interest emerging.
The Athletic report that Arsenal and Manchester United both like Walker-Peters and are interested in signing him.
Everton are also interested but it was thought that they just couldn’t afford such a deal, whilst Tottenham have a £30million buy-back clause.
So just how much would Southampton want if Tottenham don’t activate that clause?
Well The Sun claim that Southampton are seeking £40million for Walker-Peters, which will surely price Everton out of any deal.

It’s also hard to see Arsenal paying that kind of money whilst they already have Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares on board.
United would surely need to sell one of Diogo Dalot or Aaron Wan-Bissaka in order to free up room for Walker-Peters.
Tottenham do have a great chance to somewhat undercut the market given that they can sign him for £10million cheaper than his asking price.
Yet with a deal now imminent for Djed Spence, Tottenham don’t need another right-sided wing back this summer.
This all points towards Walker-Peters staying at Southampton for the foreseeable future even if many Premier League clubs fancy signing him.
