The Saints ace has penned a deal with the Premier League club until 2023.

Southampton have announced that Yan Valery has signed a contract extension at St Mary’s Stadium which will keep him at the Premier League club until 2023.
The 20-year-old has become a regular under Ralph Hasenhuttl and has made 16 top-flight appearances so far for a total of 30 in all competitions this term, according to Transfermarkt.
Valery signed from French club Rennes in 2015 and progressed through the Saints academy, making his full debut in Mark Hughes’s last match in charge, a 2-2 draw against Manchester United in December.
The right-back has been especially impressive in recent weeks, scoring in his last two matches against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, the latter of which triggered a late comeback and eventual 2-1 win.
Hasenhuttl seemingly deemed Valery so good that he felt he could let Portugal international and Euro 2016 champion Cedric Soares leave the club, which he did by joining Inter Milan on loan in January.
On Thursday, Southampton shared the news about the highly rated Frenchman’s new deal on Twitter:
