Southampton have shared a funny training ground video on Twitter in which Maya Yoshida gets nutmegged by Sofiane Boufal and some of the Saints faithful commented on how the Morocco international looks like he’s enjoying life at St Mary’s once again.

In the summer of 2016, Southampton broke their transfer record to sign the 26-year-old winger from French side Lille for £16million (BBC Sport) and to date, he has made 65 appearances for the Saints, including six this season in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

When Boufal was shipped out on loan to Celta Vigo by former manager Mark Hughes, it looked as though his time on the south coast was set to come to an end, and there were rumours linking him with a move to France in the summer from the likes of El Desmarque, who had linked the player with Marseille.

However, nothing came of the reports and Boufal has been fully reintegrated into the Southampton first-team setup by Ralph Hasenhuttl, so when the Saints shared the training ground clip ahead of their Premier League trip to Tottenham on Saturday, quite a few fans loved what they saw and shared their thoughts on social media.

In August, Boufane had taken to Twitter to say he was “100 per cent” committed to staying at St Mary’s (Daily Echo) this season, and in conversation with the Southampton media team after the Carabao Cup win at Fulham he said: “I have a very good relationship with the fans and feel very proud to be part of this team.”
