Southampton claimed their first Premier League win of the season as they beat Burnley 1-0 on Saturday night.
The Saints had lost to Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur in the first two games of the season, and faced a tricky trip up to Turf Moor.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side claimed all three points though, as Danny Ings returned to haunt his former club with an early opener.
Southampton stood strong and claimed all three points, which Hasenhuttl will now be hoping can spark some improved form.
The Austrian made a key change before the game, as he started with Jannik Vestergaard ahead of Jack Stephens in the heart of the Southampton defence.
Sky Sports noted on their Transfer Show (25/09) that West Ham had shown an interest in Vestergaard, but Southampton were reluctant to let him go.

He started just a day later and turned in a huge display, racking up nine aerials won and 13 clearances, helping Southampton keep a clean sheet.
Southampton fans took to Twitter to hail Vestergaard, branding him ‘prime Maldini’ and ‘absolutely towering’ after his performance.
Others called him ‘so underrated’ and ‘immense’ whilst feeling that he is really improving, meaning West Ham’s hopes of signing the Dane may be even slimmer than before.
