The winger is reportedly closing in on a switch to Southampton.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Southampton are closing in on a £14 million deal to sign Standard Liege star Moussa Djenepo, and some Saints fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.
Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will be desperate to bolster his ranks in all departments this summer, and the speedy Mali ace could be just the ticket for the south coast outfit.
Djenepo was in fine form for Liege this season, racking up an impressive 11 goals and six assists in 39 appearances in all competitions, and that kind of attacking output will undoubtedly help the Saints improve upon the potency of their attacking play.
Southampton have history of signing little-known players who go on to become stars – none more so than Sadio Mane, who is now starring for Liverpool.
And should Djenepo go on to become even half the player that Mane is, the Saints will have a real star on their hands.
