Southampton's Nathan Redmond celebrates scoring their fourth goal

Southampton won a seven-goal thriller against Watford this weekend, with Claude Puel’s side running out 4-3 winners at Vicarage Road.

Two goals from Nathan Redmond and one apiece from Dusan Tadic and Manolo Gabbiadini were enough to ultimately seal the three points, although Watford fought until the final whistle and scored via Troy Deeney, Stefano Okaka and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

In recent weeks, January signing Gabbiadini has been the man of the moment for Southampton, but on Saturday it was all about Redmond, who was sensational throughout.

The 22-year-old has been a regular in Puel’s starting line-up this season yet Saturday was arguably his best match in a Southampton shirt and suggests very exciting things to come.

Southampton will have been desperate to get back to winning ways after their EFL Cup heartbreak last weekend and they did that in hugely entertaining fashion.
