Southampton lost at home to Watford, and many of their attacking players received plenty of criticism.
Nathan Redmond
Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment at the performance of Nathan Redmond after their defeat to Watford on Saturday.
The Saints returned from the international break looking to bag their first win since they beat West Ham in their second game of the campaign, while they were also looking for their first goal since that victory.

Unfortunately however, while the Southampton supporters did see two goals at St Mary’s, they both came for the away side as Abdoulaye Doucoure and Daryl Janmaat scored either side of half-time to hand Marco Silva’s men the three points.
It was an incredibly frustrating afternoon, but certainly one that has become familiar to the fans, as they failed to score once again, with BBC Sport that they put just one of their attempts on goal actually on target.
Mauricio Pellegrino
But while Manolo Gabbiadini has seemingly received a much more mixed reaction on Twitter from the fans – with many expressing sympathy for the Italian – Redmond’s performance has received plenty of criticism.
The winger – along with some of his teammates – has been blamed for the lack of service for the strikers throughout the game, and the supporters are starting to doubt whether faith should be kept with the 23-year-old.
While he scored seven times in the Premier League last term, he has registered just two top flight assists since joining from Norwich – for £10 million, as reported by BBC Sport – which is surely not an acceptable return for a player who generally plays out on the wing.
And unfortunately for Redmond, it appears that the patience has run out with many supporters criticising his performance against the Hornets…
