Southampton continued their strong form since the Premier League restarted as they claimed a 2-2 draw at Manchester United on Monday night.
The Saints have beaten Norwich City, Watford and Manchester City since the restart, with their only defeat coming at home to Arsenal last month.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side were no pushover for United heading into the game, and they proved that early on with a strong start, capped off By Stuart Armstrong opening the scoring.
United did hit back as Anthony Martial teed up a Marcus Rashford equaliser, before Martial got himself on the scoresheet with a fine run and finish.
The Red Devils couldn’t kill the game off though, and Michael Obafemi snatched a late equaliser for the Saints as they head back to the South Coast with a point.
Southampton didn’t roll over when United went in front, and the same goes for Kyle Walker-Peters, who turned in a strong second half showing having struggled with Martial and Rashford in the first half.

The Tottenham loanee has turned in decent displays of late, enhancing his chances of landing a permanent move to St Mary’s Stadium.
Some fans praised Walker-Peters for an ‘immense’ and ‘brilliant’ performance against United, and want to see him sign permanently this summer – as long as Daniel Levy doesn’t price the Spurs youngster out of a full-time move away.
