Ings, signed on a season-long loan deal from Premier League in the summer of 2018, was in action for Southampton in their 3-1 victory over Wolves at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old former Burnley forward started the match and played for 61 minutes.
The England international provided the assist for one of Nathan Redmond’s goals, and he also set up a very good chance for Josh Sims.
According to WhoScored, against Wolves on Saturday afternoon, Ings provided one assist, had a pass accuracy of 80%, made two tackles and one interception, and played three key passes.
So far this season, the forward has made 19 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Saints, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
According to Sky Sports, Southampton will pay Liverpool a transfer fee of £18 million in order to secure the services of Ings on a permanent contract in the summer of 2019.
