Ings was in action for Southampton in their Premier League game against Bournemouth at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.
The 26-year-old forward started the match and played for 81 minutes, as it ended in a 3-3 draw.
The England international was ineffective, but the Liverpool-owned forward worked hard in attack and linked up relatively well with his teammates.
According to WhoScored, against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, Ings took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 75%, made two tackles, and played two key passes.
The forward has made 21 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Saints this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Ings joined Southampton on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer of 2018.
According to Sky Sports, the Saints will pay Liverpool a transfer fee of £18 million in order to secure the services of on a permanent contract in the summer of 2019.
