Southampton fans react to Charlie Austin exit rumours

The Southampton hitman has been linked with an exit from the south coast club this month.

Charlie Austin has been linked with a move away from Southampton, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that Wolves and Aston Villa are interested in signing the striker, and some Saints fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 29-year-old joined Southampton from in Queens Park Rangers in January 2016, for a fee believed to be worth around £4 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to score 20 goals in 72 appearances in all competitions for the south coast club.

He has struggled for starts this season, and Ralph Hasenhüttl’s arrival hasn’t helped him with regards to getting more regular game-time.

So an exit from Southampton might be just what he needs to help reinvigorate his stagnant career.

Quite where he will end up, however, remains to be seen.
