Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Angus Gunn against Chelsea.

Gunn was in action for Southampton in their Premier League game against Chelsea at St. Mary’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Saints lost 4-1.

Although the 23-year-old former Manchester City prospect made one or two good saves, he could have done better on two of the four goals that he conceded.

The Englishman had a disappointing game and made some bad judgements and errors, and Southampton fans were not impressed, as shown in the following posts on Twitter.

Chelsea are a much better team than Southampton, and the win for Frank Lampard’s side does not come as a surprise at all.

However, given that the match was at St. Mary’s Stadium and Southampton had home advantage, they should have done better.

The result means that the Saints remain dangerously close to the Premier League bottom three, and it is imperative that they put together a run of positive results after the two-week international break.
