Southampton produced another impressive victory as they continue to catch the eye in pre-season.

A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to laud Sofiane Boufal and speculate about the impact that he could make during the coming campaign after he scored the Saints’ final goal in their latest pre-season win.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men continue to build momentum heading into next season as they produced an incredibly impressive performance to beat Feyenoord 3-1 in the Netherlands at the weekend.
Che Adams got yet another early goal and Maya Yoshida’s strike put the visitors 2-1 up during the first-half. And the win would be secured by Boufal in the latter stages of the game as he showed good composure to set himself up for the chance before emphatically sending the ball into the back of the net from close range.
It was a glimpse of the talent that the Morocco international possesses. And for some supporters, it appears to be a sign that he could become the latest player to enjoy a transformation under Hasenhuttl.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Celta Vigo after being frozen out by Mark Hughes. The decision to let him go was hardly an unpopular one, but the supporters are clearly optimistic that something has changed this summer.
Boufal will still have a lot to prove if he hopes to win over all of his doubters. But the fans are hopeful that Hasenhuttl may be the perfect coach to get the best out of him – which could be a frightening prospect given how well Boufal has played when it has clicked for him.

Here is what some of the fans made of Boufal’s display in Rotterdam…
