Southampton lost 1-0 to West Bromwich Albion this weekend, but what did Saints fans think of Graziano Pelle’s contribution?

Southampton suffered their second loss in a row and their first away defeat in six matches against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

An early Saido Berahino strike made the difference, with Ronald Koeman’s side unable to take advantage of their considerable possession.

Southampton enjoyed 64 per cent of the ball against Tony Pulis’s Baggies but they could not make that count, managing just two shots on target all afternoon.

The player who came under the spotlight the most after the match was Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, who had the perfect chance to equalise only to miss from three yards out after fine work from left-back Ryan Bertrand.

Pelle started the campaign in blistering form and he has 12 goals this season, but the 29-year-old has not found the net in the league for 10 games and it was clear that was not going to change when he missed the sitter on Saturday.

After the match, we took to Twitter to see what Southampton fans thought of Pelle’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
