Southampton brought in Mohammed Elyounoussi in the summer, but he has failed to score in 15 games for the Saints.

Southampton summer signing Mohamed Elyounoussi has taken a hammering on social media website Twitter after his latest display.

Southampton snapped up Elyounoussi as one of their marquee signings during the previous transfer window, as they looked to replace Dusan Tadic.

However, the former Basel man has struggled badly at St. Mary’s since joining up.

Elyounoussi has fallen out of favour at Southampton, with his starting chances becoming rarer and rarer.

Elyounoussi was handed the chance to play last night against Derby County in the FA Cup, but he once again failed to catch the eye.

And Southampton fans are already starting to give up on the 24-year-old, who they do not feel is good enough.

Elyounoussi has now played for Southampton 15 times, but he has failed to provide a goal or even an assist.

Southampton are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Everton, and it would be a major surprise if Elyounoussi is included in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s starting line-up again.
