Southampton fans have been left disappointed by Mario Lemina injury news.
Southampton will be without midfielder Mario Lemina for their match against Liverpool this weekend.
The Saints desperately want to beat Liverpool after the Reds’ persistent approaches to sign their best players.
Lemina has been an impressive signing since joining from Juventus in the summer and his absence is a blow for Southampton.
Manager Manuel Pellegrino confirmed to Southampton’s official website on Thursday that Lemina is out with an ankle injury.
It will be tough facing Liverpool without Lemina who has made seven starts in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool are a lofty fifth in the table, while Southampton are down in 13th place with just three wins from 11 matches.
The last of these was a home defeat to Burnley where once again the Saints failed to score, and optimism is not high ahead of the Liverpool game.
The Lemina injury has certainly not helped at all.
