When Southampton signed Sadio Mane from Red Bull Salzburg this summer, those who had watched the Senegal attacker in action knew just what an exciting player the Saints were getting.
He may have cost £10million, but his outstanding goal-scoring record and ability to put goals on plates for his teammates suggested it was money very well spent.
It may be early days, but Mane shone on his Premier League debut on Saturday, setting up one of the goals in Southampton’s 2-1 win and impressing with his pace and confidence.
Mane played three key passes during the match, and went on five dribbles to showcase his speed before he was replaced with 68 minutes on the clock.
