Southampton’s supporters have been angered by Fraser Forster once again as they lost 1-0 at home to Burnley.

Southampton fans have taken to Twitter in the wake of their defeat to Burnley on Saturday to express their frustration, once again, at Fraser Forster’s recent form.

The Saints appeared to dominate the large majority of the game at St Mary’s, with Clarets goalkeeper Nick Pope making a number of hugely impressive saves to keep Sean Dyche’s men in the contest.

And the goal has seen Forster come in for plenty of criticism on social media. Last week, the Englishman was slated for being slow across his line as Glenn Murray equalised in the 1-1 draw with Brighton, and the Burnley clash has created a sense of deja vu for the Saints fans.

The former Celtic man’s cause was probably not helped by Pope’s inspired display that saw the Burnley goalkeeper stake a massive claim to be man of the match – nor did it help that Vokes’ header was the Clarets’ sole effort on target throughout the entire game.
