Dusan Tadic is unlikely to be having any regrets about leaving Southampton this summer.
He is playing a key role for Dutch side Ajax and last night helped them move closer to Champions League qualification.
Tadic scored the third goal in Ajax’s 3-1 victory over Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of their tie.
Ajax are now just one game away from sealing their place in the group stages for the first time since 2016.
Tadic joined Ajax for around £10 million after spending four years in the Premier League with Southampton.
The Serbian international starred at the World Cup and has made a fast start for his new side.
He scored twice in the earlier qualifying rounds against Sturm Graz and then Standard Liege, and also struck the winner in the Eredivisie at the weekend against VVV Venlo.
Southampton fans are pleased for Tadic’s success, and had plenty to say after his goal last night.
The Saints themselves have had a slow start to the season, with one draw and one loss from their opening two matches.
