Southampton fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports coming from the Independent today which have suggested that the Saints are keen on a late deal for Tottenham winger Erik Lamela.

Lamela has endured a difficult time over the last couple of years having spent much of that period on the sidelines due to injury. And it is perhaps due to his injury record that a number of the Saints fans are not pleased with the rumours at all.

The Argentinian has a lot of quality, but it appears that the Southampton supporters do not want him to sign and feel that the interest is a sign of desperation from the club.
