Southampton fans believe they have picked up a bargain buy after Stuart Armstrong’s impressive start to life since his move from Celtic.

Southampton got Armstrong from Celtic this summer for a fee of £7 million, as reported by Daily Mail.

But Armstrong has already started to make that price-tag look cheap after his performances since moving from Parkhead.

The attacking midfielder scored Southampton’s second goal of the night yesterday, as they came from behind to beat Celta Vigo.

And Southampton fans have raved about the performance of the former Celtic man, with many excited to see what he could do in the Premier League.

Celtic would have liked to have kept Armstrong, but he was entering the last year of his contract, so Southampton had the power in the negotiations.

Southampton have previously signed successfully from Celtic, with Virgil Van Dijk and Victor Wanyama both making the move from Glasgow to the south coast in recent times.
