Southampton have leapfrogged several sides in the Ings betting.

Southampton are the new favourites to sign Liverpool striker Danny Ings with bookmaker Sky Bet.
Ings has reportedly decided to leave Liverpool this summer, three years after the Reds paid £8 million to bring him from Burnley, prompting a market to be opened on the 25-year-old’s next club.
And despite being third in the betting earlier in the week, behind Burnley and Crystal Palace at 6/1, Southampton are now 7/4 front-runners, while Newcastle United have also seen their odds cut significantly, from 8/1 to 4/1, to sign Ings.
With Charlie Austin, Shane Long, Sam Gallagher, Guido Carrillo and Manolo Gabbiadini on the books, Southampton are not in any desperate need of new striker – although doubts surround the futures of the latter trio.

Southampton manager Mark Hughes was also credited with interest in Ings while in charge of Stoke City.
Burnley, Crystal Palace and Rangers are all 6/1 to secure Ings’ signature, with no other club occupying odds shorter than 10/1.
