The Saints are believed to still be interested in the AC Milan and Portugal striker as Wolves are thought to have gone for another Rossoneri striker.

Southampton were linked with AC Milan striker Andre Silva earlier this month and a number of reported developments suggest that the Saints could now have a clearer path to his signature if the rumours are true.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Il Milanista, Southampton are one of three clubs still interested in the 23-year-old Portugal international, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers and French club Marseille.
Wolves seem to have their eye on another Rossoneri striker, however; Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Molineux club has moved for Patrick Cutrone, who is reportedly evaluating the proposal with his agents.
Silva was reportedly close to sealing a switch to AS Monaco but, according to Il Milanista, the move fell through – nonetheless, the report states that Milan still want to sell him and hope that a bidding war could see a fee emerge which is higher than their €25-30million (£22.5m-£27m) valuation.

The forward, contracted to the Italian club until 2022, spent last season on loan at Sevilla and scored 11 goals, plus registered three assists in all competitions, of which nine goals and two assists came in La Liga, according to Transfermarkt.
Southampton have already bolstered their attacking ranks this summer with the signings of strikers Che Adams and Danny Ings, plus the arrival of winger Moussa Djenepo, ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
