Everton are yet to replace the sacking of Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park.

Everton legend Neville Southall has declared on Twitter that he “cannot see the day” when he would return to Goodison Park to work for the Toffees after a fan claimed the Toffees need his presence in the dressing room.
Southall, 59, played for the Merseyside outfit for 17 years of his professional career, among other spells with clubs such as Bury, Torquay United and Stoke City, as well as notching up 92 Wales caps.

The Everton stopper amassed a huge 750 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions during his long spell at Goodison Park, helping his side win the First Division in 1984-85 and 1986-87 as well as two FA Cup triumphs.
A fan stated on Twitter that they need a man like Southall in the Everton dressing room, but Southall was quick to state that he would not be interested by claiming they would “take more notice” of the fan rather than himself. He went on to say that he does not envisage a return to Everton in any capacity.
Everton are yet to appoint Ronald Koeman’s replacement at Goodison Park, after sacking the Dutchman a month ago following a string of disappointing results that left the Toffees in the relegation zone.

Interim manager and Southall’s former teammate David Unsworth has taken over since, but suffered four defeats in six games as caretaker manager and it remains to be seen who will replace Koeman.
However, Unsworth’s chances have thinned even more so after losing 5-1 to Italian outfit Atalanta on Thursday night in the Europa League. The Toffees face Southampton on Sunday in the Premier League.
